The Exception

We surprised even ourselves.
We surprised ourselves

Until now, R I S K has never provided a link to anywhere outside of our own ISEE family of organizations and clients. Though that may have seemed a bit selfish on our part, we have always thought of our piece of the WEB as a sort of "safe haven" for people in business. We constantly strive to provide a manageable, predictable and soothing area for people in business. We feel that it is important for people in business to escape from the often loud and intense aspects of the information super-highway. We want you to relax and reflect when you visit our sites.

R I S K is constantly bombarded with requests for "reciprocal" links from any number of well known, on-line business publications. We won't name them here for obvious reasons. You probably already have them "bookmarked" anyway. For every one of the "big boys" that requests a link, we have at least five others that want to increase their traffic, the length of their links list or the depth of their knowledge base. They are almost always "up to something" and we turn them down, as well. In the case of the latter group, we request that they remove any links that they have "posted" to R I S K.

We made our decision and we stuck by it... ...until now.

We made a decision!

The exception came in the form of e-mail from Frederick Pearce of the Pearman Cooperation Alliance. He had reviewed our publication on his WEB site and requested that we visit it to see if the information was correct. We liked what he had to say, primarily because he had paraphrased our own description. What really caught our attention was the purpose of his site. While RISK is intended to be perused at the end of a hectic business day, his site was created to start your business day. It had the same underlying "common sense" approach as does RISK and, for a moment, we considered doing something similar ourselves. However, good ethics won out and we decided to make the very first, (and probably the last), exception and provide a link to this informative site. It is called The Business Start Page and the link graphic is near the end of this page.

Mr. Pearce's site has just the right level of information for a busy person to use as a base of operations on the WEB. Not so much as to cause "overload". Just enough to get things done. He also provides you with the Virtual Desk Top which has great links and information that you will use every day. Stop by the Business Tips page and check out some ideas that you will use during the entire business day. Don't miss his newest area, The Business Books Bookstore & Review, where only business books are reviewed.

Before you link away to this site we need to mention that we have no organizational, corporate, personal or any other type of tie with this link, other than we like it and think you should make it your "start page". He tells you how to do that on his site.

Enjoy your morning coffee at the Business Start Page.
