All of my reproductions are printed on acid free papers with lightfast inks. I use heavy paper, 80 to 140 lb weight, and personally oversee each step of the process and ok each proofing. In addition, the papers that I select are very close to the type of watercolor paper I work on.
Having worked with the same printer for years, I now know the pressmen personally, they know what I expect of them and what the presses can do for me. They call when they think we are ready for the final proofing and off we go. After we arrive and make the last changes at the press, everything is approved and signed then printed.
I am asked repeatedly why I print what I do…the answer is it makes me happy and I hope it will make others happy also.
Inspiration comes from many sources, trips, photos, a walk, a talk with someone, my mood that day or how many cups of coffee I have had, or sometimes not had, that day.
As you will no doubt notice, my painting style varies with the subjects I am working on. Some will be extremely detailed while others will be very loose and soft.
I like variety.
