Decorator Prints

Even though I think of myself primarily as a bird artist, I am always surprised at the number of Mammals I have painted. They range from the power of an angry grizzly to the endearing charm of a baby rabbit.

	Birds of Prey have always been favorite subjects of mine. Their beauty, grace and power represent a powerful connection with the forces of nature. I try to capture the essence of these great birds in my paintings. I have spent a great deal of time studying raptors, both in the wild, and with the help of falconers.

Miscellaneous Subjects represent some of my best work, even if they are hard to categorize. Artists like to branch off in new directions, and many of these images show different subjects and new ideas for me.

	My first watercolor subjects were Waterfowl. While I have chosen many species to paint, I have primarily focused on the ones I know best, the Canada Geese, Wood Ducks, Mallards, and Pintails.

The Triple Prints have, over the years, been my most popular item. Uniqely designed to fit in hallways or on narrow walls, each of the triples showcases three prints that complement each other perfectly.

	As watercolor subjects, Songbirds have recently become very popular. Although I am an avid birder, and enjoy seeing rare and unusual species, in my paintings I concentrate on the birds we all see. I never tire of the antics of chickadees and wrens, or the brilliance of a cardinal.

I have spent eleven years modifying the Decorator Mirrors. In their current form, they represent the epitome of elegance. Each mirror frame is hand made from a Carpathian Elm burl wood and paired with a 12" beveled mirror. Each print is matted in an inlaid mat, with hand painted accent lines.
